Daniel Owen Ltd Becomes an Official County Durham Pound Supporter

County Durham Pound brings together businesses, housing providers, charities and voluntary organisations with a shared goal: creating meaningful social value across County Durham through collaboration and partnership. The initiative encourages organisations to work together to deliver benefits that extend beyond construction projects and commercial activity alone. 

As a specialist recruitment partner to the construction, property services and engineering sectors, Daniel Owen already supports a number of projects across County Durham. Becoming a County Durham Pound supporter formalises our commitment to helping create employment opportunities, support local communities and contribute to the wider social value objectives that are shaping the future of the region.

The launch of the Supporters' Charter saw businesses operating across County Durham pledge their support to increasing social value within local communities. Thirty-five organisations signed up to the Charter, demonstrating a collective commitment to creating positive outcomes for residents and businesses across the county.

The announcement comes in line with the County Durham Pound Conference 2026, Stronger Together: Connected for Impact, which brought together organisations from across the county to explore collaborative approaches to social value creation. 

The conference focused on key themes including health and wellbeing, employment support, and strengthening the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector. By working together across sectors, County Durham Pound aims to maximise the positive impact organisations can have on local communities.
