The Client
A small-to-medium-sized fit-out company
The Issue
• The client phoned at 11 am on a Friday, after several labourers from another agency didn’t turn up.
• The candidates were required for the final stages of an office refurb at Waterloo. The site had to be ready in time for the office staff to begin work there the following Monday morning.
• The candidates needed valid CSCS cards and appropriate PPE.
• Although the client needed four labourers, they initially asked for only three because they thought it would be too difficult to find four suitably skilled candidates at such short notice.
The Solution
• We called a couple of regular candidates who weren’t working that day, and they went to site immediately.
• We secured the remaining candidates by phoning people on our database who matched the client’s criteria. It only took a few phone calls to find two who were available.
• Four labourers were on site within an hour and a half, and also worked on the Saturday to ensure that the office was ready on time.
The Result
The office was ready for handover on schedule, and the client was impressed at our quick turnaround.
