Site/Facilities Manager - Maidenhead

Client Overview

A highly rated Secondary School is seeking a dedicated and hands-on Site Manager to help maintain their school buildings and grounds to the highest standards. This is a key role in ensuring that the students and staff have a safe, clean, and well-maintained environment in which to learn and work.

About the Role

Reporting to the Estates Manager, you will:
✔ Ensure the security of the school site, including being on call for emergencies.
✔ Carry out maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical work, and decorating.
✔ Supervise and support cleaners and assistant site staff.
✔ Act as the main point of contact for contractors and lettings outside of school hours.
✔ Oversee health and safety compliance, including fire safety and site risk assessments.
✔ Take responsibility for energy efficiency and recycling initiatives within the school.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:
✔ Experienced in site maintenance, ideally within a school or similar setting.
✔ Skilled in basic plumbing, electrics, and general maintenance.
✔ Organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
✔ Able to confidently take responsibility for the site in the absence of senior staff.
✔ Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual tasks such as lifting and using ladders.
✔ Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

A willingness to undertake relevant training (such as Health & Safety, COSHH, or Legionella awareness) is desirable.
