Daniel Owen are proud to be representing a social housing company in East London area who are looking for a Repairs Operations Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

They are looking for an experienced Repairs Operations Manager to manage a large team including 3 Contracts Managers.

Duties:

• Manage and lead a team of maintenance and repair staff, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations are set.
• Monitor and evaluate team performance, offering support, training, and development opportunities where necessary.
• Ensure a culture of continuous improvement, motivating staff to provide the highest levels of customer service.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the repairs and maintenance service, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and housing standards.
• Monitor repair requests, ensuring that urgent repairs are prioritised and completed within agreed timescales.
• Develop and manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure that targets are consistently met.
• Ensure the timely and accurate completion of repairs and maintenance work orders.
• Develop and manage budgets for repairs and maintenance services, ensuring cost efficiency while maintaining service quality.
• Allocate resources, including staffing and contractors, effectively to meet service demands.
• Manage procurement and oversee contracts with external contractors and suppliers.

Key Knowledge:

• Maintenance / construction industry knowledge
• Social housing/Local authority background
• Using SOR codes
• IT Literate
• Valid driving licence
