Daniel Owen are looking for a Cook in Barlby, Selby:

• We are seeking an experienced cook to join our team, capable of preparing meals for up to 200 people.The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, strong culinary skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Key Responsibilities & Info:

  • Prepare, cook, and present meals for large groups.
  • Ensure food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus and manage inventory.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
  • Adapt recipes and menus as needed to accommodate dietary restrictions.
  • Working hours 7am - 2:30pm Monday to Friday

  Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a high-volume setting.
  • Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and food safety practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • An NVQ or higher in Catering/Cookery. You will require a Food Hygiene Certificate and Enhanced DBS - we can assist you with these if needed.
